France's second city has strong public transport links with the
central and southern French Alps. Fast roads mean that although
not particularly close as the crow flies, outside of the peak
Saturday rush, transfer times are quicker than imaginable. Rail
travel could be the best option on Saturdays, but a host of private
transfer companies who know the back roads maybe the second best
option.
